Isabel Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Nov-2013
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with light green hues, pale on rim. The nose is fresh with an array of interwoven aromas of ripe gooseberry fruit with tropical fruits, minerals and grassy notes that emerge in the glass. Dry to taste and full-bodied, juicy and lush gooseberry fruit flavours unfold to reveal layers of grassy notes and passionfruit. The palate features fine grainy textures at the core and plenty of mouthfeel and mouthwatering acidity. The flavours are open and accessible and are carried by the phenolics to a dry, thirst-quenching finish. This is a full and flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc with mouthwatering textures. Match with salads and vegetables, and with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Two picks for fruit, one for varietal freshness and the other for ripeness, stainless-steel fermented partially with indigenous yeasts to 13.5% alc. and 3.05 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Nov 2013 RRP $29.99
