Invivo ‘Organic’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 18-Oct-2012
Fruit from the ‘Windrush' vineyard near Renwick, fermented with 25% in barrique to 12.5% alc. and 2.7 g/L rs. Bright, very pale straw colour with green hues, very pale on rim. The bouquet is very fine, intense and penetrating, showing gooseberries, passionfruit and a piercing, minerally, steely note. Dry to taste and elegant in proportion, this is tightly bound and concentrated with steely gooseberry, passionfruit and savoury mineral flavours. The palate is driven by fine, lacy acidity and is smooth in texture, near slippery in mouthfeel. The acid zestiness is the feature and leads to a crisp, dry finish with good length. This Sauvignon Blanc has linear drive, and is still tightly bound. It will develop and unfold over the next 2+ years. Match with shellfish. Certified BioGro organic. 18.0-/20 Oct 2012 RRP $21.90
