Invivo Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 22-Oct-2014
Brilliant, very pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, light on edge. The nose is fresh and finely presented with harmoniously concentrated aromas of passionfruit and nettles, lifted with white florals and fermentation esters. This is very expressive of the Awatere Valley. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, refreshingly juicy and mouthwatering flavours of passionfruit and nettles form a concentrated core. The palate is very fine in texture with lacy acidity lending vitality and tension. The wine flows smoothly with good energy, leading to a refined, dry finish with nettle and gooseberry nuances. This is a refreshing and finely presented Sauvignon Blanc with smooth passionfruity flavours in the classical Awatere Valley style. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood, and salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from 60% Dashwood and 40% Awatere, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.8% alc. and 4.6 g/L RS, the wine given lees contact. 18.0-/20 Oct 2014 RRP $19.99
