Invivo ‘Belle’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 18-Oct-2012
Bright, straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on edge. Fresh, bright and vibrant aromas of gooseberries, capsicums, passionfruit and herbs are lifted with attractive lime notes, Dry to taste, cooler spectrum flavours of gooseberries, grass and fresh herbs show with a linear, slender flow through the palate. Elevated acidity adds a crisp firmness and steeliness to the mouthfeel, but the palate has depth of flavour and good presence, revealing lime and nettle-like elements in the glass. The acidity carries the fruit to a racy, lingering finish showing herbs and gooseberries. This is a dry, grassy and herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc with depth of flavour and zingy acidity. Serve with seafood, poultry and creamy-sauce dishes over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit fermented to 9.0% alc. and 5 g/L rs, the wine undergoing batonnage. 17.0+/20 Oct 2012 RRP $19.95
