Invivo ‘Belle’ Marlborough Rosé 2012

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 18-Oct-2012
Made from Marlborough Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc fermented to 9.0% alc. and 5 g/L rs, the wine having approx. 30% less calories than the regular rosé wine. Very pale pink colour with slight peach hues, pale on rim. The nose is fresh and gently full of gooseberry and strawberry fruit aromas interwoven with redcurrant, passionfruit and minty notes. Dry to taste, light, refreshing flavours of herbs, gooseberries and passionfruit are supported by crisp and racy acidity. This has a delicate phenolic texture that is drying to the mouthfeel as it flows on the palate line. The Sauvignon Blanc component is dominant and shows on the finish, which is lifted by fresh, fermentation esters. This is a light, dry and zesty rosé showing the influence of Sauvignon Blanc in the blend. Match with antipasto and seafood over the next 2 years. 16.0/20 Oct 2012 RRP $19.95
