Instinct Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2010

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 03-Jun-2014
Bright straw-yellow colour with golden hues, pale on rim. This has a soft, full nose of pure white peaches complexed by some wood notes and flinty elements. Dry and medium-full bodied, this features rich, mouthfilling flavours of ripe citrus fruits, musky, spicy oak and nuts, the palate with depth and power. Soft textures provide some creaminess to the structure. Balancing racy acidity provide freshness and carries the flavours to a sustained finish. This is a flavoursome and lively wine with the presence to match seafood, poultry and pork over the next 3+ years. Made from predominantly Mendoza clone fruit from the CJ Pask ‘Gimblett Road' site, fermented to 13.5% alc., a portion of the wine barrel-aged and given lees contact. 17.5-/20 Nov 2011 RRP $18.95
