Incognito Waipara Valley Riesling 2009

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 25-Jan-2012
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with a youthful hint of green, pale on rim. This has a very soft, rounded and gentle bouquet of honey, toast and little kero harmoniously interwoven with aromas of limes, florals and minerals. Medium-dry to medium in sweetness, racy acidity and a slippery mouthfeel are immediately apparent. A deep core of complex toast, mineral and honey flavours unfolds to fill the palate. This has a combination of richness and briskness that leads to a lively, dry but sustained finish showing secondary toast nuances. Serve this full-flavoured, slippery Riesling with Asian inspired seafood and poultry dishes over the next 2-4 years. Fruit from a single vineyard hand-harvested and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 11.5% alc. and 22 g/L rs. 17.0+/20 Jan 2012 RRP $13.99
