Incognito ‘Prestige’ Awatere Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Apr-2012
Brilliant straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. The nose is very intense with aromas of gooseberries, pungent passionfruit, cut grass and herbs, classically Awatere Valley with its steel and mineral edge. Dry, racy and crisp, cooler spectrum flavours of sappy, gooseberry and fresh herbs show with intensity and depth, the wine with penetrating drive and line, enhanced by zesty, elevated acidity. The fruit has sweetness and a luscious aspect which provides adds some mouthfeel and weight which leads to a long, lingering, brisk finish with flavours of herbs and minerals. Hand-picked fruit, WBP and fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine spending 6 months on lees. Serve this racy, brisk and sappy, gooseberry fruited Sauvignon Blanc with seafood, herb-marinated poultry and vegetables over the next 2+ years. 17.0+/20 Apr 2012 RRP $15.99
