Incognito Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Sep-2011
Fruit from sites in the Lower Wairau Valley and the Rapaura sub-region, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.4 g/L rs. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with green hues. This has a full, open nose with good volume, the ripe gooseberry and passionfruit aromatics with an ethereal expression, quite restrained and with a degree of subtlety. Dry, full and with a rounded mouthfeel, the fruit flavours are gently expressed initially, but open out revealing sweet gooseberry and tropical fruit notes that linger on a sustained finish. An up-front and mouthfilling wine retaining some stylish restraint. Match with Mediterranean seafood and poultry dishes over the next 2 years. 18.0-/20 Sep 2011 RRP $14.99
