Deep ruby-red, even colour throughout, youthful appearance. The nose is vibrant and softly full, with aromas of redberry and plum, melded with subtle spice and a flinty mineral note, Medium-bodied, sweet-fruited aromas of dried plum and ripe berries enriched by an earthy note and pepper. The fruit is ripe with moderate concentration and balanced acidity; supple powdery tannin extraction contributes to an elegant mouthfeel. This Syrah is generously packed with ripe fruit and a silky palate. Match with aubergine parmigiana and lamb meatballs over the next 3 years. Pressing and maceration in tank for 15 days, 14% alc, 9g/l RS, aged in tank and wood. 17/20 pts (85 pts) Oct 2022 RRP $21
