Hunter’s MiruMiru NV, Marlborough

Sparkling Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Feb-2021
Bright, light straw-yellow, consistent fine beads, even colour throughout. The nose is fresh, nuances of raspberries, melded with lemon sherbet, sweet biscuit and creamy lees. Medium-bodied, flavours are growing with intensity, aromas of peach, lemon sherbet intermixed raspberries, tea biscuit and buttery bakings. The palate is fresh and dry, but not austere; a hint of creaminess glide on a chalky fine-textured mouthfeel. This is a tasty Methode Traditionnelle with freshness and subtleties, match with seafood and white meat over the next 3 years. A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 46% Pinot Noir, 4% Pinot Meunier, fermented separately in stainless steel tanks, 12% alc, full MLF, aged on lees for 18 months, 5 g/l RS. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) Feb 2021 RRP $28.90
