Hunter’s Marlborough Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Nov-2014
100% Pinot Noir fruit, dedicated for rosé production, col-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.7 g/L RS. Bright, even, pale pink colour with youthful purple hues. This has a very fresh and elegant nose with lifted red florals, and strawberry and cream aromas. Some fermentation esters and confectionary elements are present. Dryish to taste, crisp and refreshing flavours of watermelon, and strawberries and cream are the feature on palate. Some floral perfumes and fruit pastille notes add aromatic lift. This has a soft core with a finely textured and delicate, lively mouthfeel, enlivened by lacy acidity. The wine has good line and drive, carrying through to a bright-fruited, dry finish with some confectionary lift. This is a fresh, lacy, soft-textured, dryish rosé with strawberry and cream flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with canapés and dim sum over the next 2 years. 17.5/20 Nov 2014 RRP $17.99
