Huia Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Jul-2017
Fruit from two sites, one in Riverlands, the other Rapaura, 5% barrel-fermented, 12.5% alc. Bright, very pale straw colour. This has a very fresh, delicate and elegant nose with fresh herb and subtle gooseberry notes, a little grassiness, nettle, nutty and mineral elements. This is restrained and refined in expression. On palate dry, fresh and steely, the crisp, thirst-quenching acidity prominent. Detailed flavours of gooseberries, fresh herbs and minerals prevail. Atypical for Marlborough, but very classical European/Loire in style. 18.0+/20 Jul 2017 RRP $19.50
