Howard Park ‘Abercrombie’ Western Australia Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - Western Australia
Review Date : 20-Apr-2015
Full, near impenetrable black-red with youthful purple hues. This has a powerful and richly ripe nose of blackcurrant, blackberry and cassis aromas, unveiling layers of spicy and cedary oak, with vibrant, aromatic and lifted nuances of herbs. On palate, the fruit richness is deeply concentrated with a dense core of sweetly ripe and succulent black fruits, currants and herbs, along with harmonious layers of oak cedar and spices. The tannin extraction is serious and totally integral and the structure is mouthfilling, yet refined. This is quite complete with its power, richness and fullness. This will keep 15-20 years. 70% ‘Abercrombie’ vineyard, Mt Barker and 30% ‘Leston’ vineyard Margaret River fruit, fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 18 months in 70% new oak. 19.5-/20 Apr 2015 RRP $125.00
