Hopscotch Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Jun-2016
Brilliant, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is fresh and tightly bound with youthful aromas of gooseberries, cut grass and nettles, the fruit in the cooler spectrum, unfolding white florals, fresh herbs and mineral nuances. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate possesses fresh and taut, mouthwatering flavours of gooseberries, white florals and herbs, with layers of cut grass and nettles. The palate is crisp and lively with brisk acidity, and the wine follows a taut, fine, grainy textured, drying line, which carries to a tight, lingering finish of gooseberries, cut grass, nettles and florals. This is a crisp and tightly bound Sauvignon Blanc with cooler-spectrum gooseberry, cut grass and nettle flavours and a dry, textural line. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Flipper Block’, a single vineyard wine, fermented in stainless-steel with 12% in oak to 13.0% alc. and <1 g/L RS, TA 7.9 g/L and pH 3.02 16.5+/20 Jun 2016 RRP $17.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
