Hopscotch Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 21-Jan-2015
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is fresh with finely concentrated and intense, cutting aromas of white floral and gooseberry fruit. The aromas are pure and fruit focussed with subtle herb and mouthwatering minerally elements unfolding. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this is racy and refreshingly zesty with flavours of gooseberries, limes and herbs, revealing some passionfruit and mineral elements through mid-palate. The wine follows a zesty, fine-textured core and line with plenty of acid energy, leading to a juicy, vibrant and mouthwatering finish. This is a crisp, racy and mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and white floral flavours. Serve as an aperitif, or with seafood, poultry and pasta with creamy sauces over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Southern Valleys cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.2% alc. and dryness, the wine aged on lees. 17.5/20 Jan 2015 RRP $17.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
