Herzog ‘The Grand Duc’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 2007

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Feb-2011
Youthfully purple-hued ruby-red in colour, and possessing an intense, attractive, fully ripened bouquet of black fruits, hinting at over-ripeness. On palate, this displayed dark cherry fruit with good juiciness and sweetness. The tannins were soft, supple and in style with balance. Overall, there was a degree of restraint, possibly a little dead fruit from the ripeness level.  Oct 2010
