Henry’s Hills Wairarapa Pinot Noir 2013

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 26-Sep-2014
Gladstone fruit fermented to 14.0% alc., 85% of the wine undergoing oak treatment the remainder in tank. Moderately deep ruby-red colour with slight garnet hues, lighter edged. The nose is restrained, with soft aromas of savoury red berry and plum fruit melded with earth and dried herbal notes. Medium-full bodied, uncomplicated flavours of red berry fruits, earth and herbs show with sweetness. The fruit is supported by light tannin extraction and lively acidity enhancing the fruitiness. Some alcoholic drive underlines the wine leading to a straightforward red fruited finish. This Pinot Noir has a core of uncomplicated red fruit flavours with some herb and earthy notes. Match with pasta, risotto and poultry over the next 2-3+ years. 16.0/20 Sep 2014 RRP $28.00
