Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues and a hint of blush, lighter on rim. The nose is soft and light with gentle volume of ripe yellow stonefruits and nuances of honeysuckle and lifted floral hints. Off-dry to taste, restrained flavours of yellow stonefruits and savoury apricot kernels are intermixed with some nutty elements, and show with some sweetness on the front palate. The fruit is underlined by some alcohol drive and the wine flows easily, following a light phenolic line, leading to a dry-textured finish with stonefruit and honied nuances. This is an off-dry Pinot Gris with light flavours of ripe stonefruits and some alcohol drive. Serve with antipasto and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 2-3 years. Gladstone fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.8% alc. and 6 g/L RS, the wine aged 9 months on light lees. 16.0+/20 Sep 2014 RRP $22.00
