Henri Dubois Champagne Brut NV

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 26-Feb-2017
Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, pale on the edge, the bead moderately fine and persistent. This has a full, open and accessible bouquet with voluminous aroma of yellow stonefruits and subtle red fruit notes, along with balanced bready-yeasty autolysis and savoury aldehyde nuances providing complexing detail. The aromatics grow in depth with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has evenly expressed, openly accessible flavours of yellow stonefruits melded with savoury, bready autolysis, and subtle aldehyde complexities. The palate has a light, phenolic-textured line with brisk, mouthwatering acidity enhanced by soft mousse and effervescence. The wine flows with vigour, carrying to a moderately long finish. This is an up-front, accessible Champagne with balanced stonefruit and savoury, bready autolysis on a light, textured, refreshing palate. Serve as an aperitif and with white meat dishes over the next 2-3 years. A blend of 65% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier, fermented to 12.0% alc. 17.5/20 Feb 2017 RRP $40.00
