Harwood Hall Marlborough Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Nov-2018
Bright candy-floss pink colour with some depth, and pale purple hues on the rim. The nose is fresh and bright with fragrant aromas of strawberries entwined with an array of red florals, and a subtle amalgam of fresh herbs, lifted confectionary, hints of nuts and minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has mouthwatering flavours of strawberries, watermelon and a little quince, along with red florals and hints of herbs and lifted confectionary. The fruit forms a positive core with a little textural grip and the wine carries along the thirst-quenching phenolic line leading to a dry, nuanced finish. This is a mouthwatering, dry rosé with strawberry, watermelon and quince flavours on a light, dry-textured palate with fresh acidity. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir from a single vineyard in Rarangi, bled off the crushed must and fermented in stainless-steel to 11.9% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS, with 12% aged in French oak barriques. 17.5/20 Nov 2018 RRP $18.99
