Harwood Hall Marlborough Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Nov-2018
Full, even straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, a little paler on the edge. The nose is tight and finely concentrated with taut aromas of white and yellow stonefruits along with whiteflorals with suggestions of stonefruit kernels and minerals that emerge with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is shy in expression with a slender core of white and yellow stonefruits along with white florals and nuances of minerals. The fruit is light and delicate and flows along a subtly-textured line with integrated acidity, carrying to a light finish. This is a light and delicately fruited dry Pinot Gris with a fine line and light finish. Serve as an aperitif and with light white meat dishes over the next 2 years. Fruit from the company’s Rarangi vineyard, fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 5.0 g/L RS, the wine aged for a short period on lees with batonnage. 16.0+/20 Nov 2018 RRP $18.99
