Harrier Haven Bridge Pa Triangle Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2015

Syrah from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 26-Feb-2016
Dark ruby-red colour with some depth and youthful purple hues, lighter edged. This has a fresh, up-front and uncomplicated nose of dark raspberry fruit intermixed with black berried fruits and white pepper, revealing dark red floral, herbal and spices nuances at the heart. Light-medium bodied and elegant in proportion, fresh, primary flavours of raspberries and blackberries show with good sweetness and juiciness. White pepper and red floral elements add detail. The palate possesses light tannin extraction and structure with balanced acidity enlivening and lifting the fruit. The wine carries to a light, refreshing finish. This is a light, fresh and juicy-fruited Syrah with raspberry and white pepper flavours and a light structure. Serve with antipasto, pizza and antipasto over the next 3 years. Fruit from the ‘Mathills’ vineyard, fermented to 12.17% alc., the wine aged 10 months in oak, one-third new. 73 dozen made. 16.0+/20 Feb 2016 RRP $20.00
