Hardys ‘Oomoo’ South Australia Chardonnay 2013

Chardonnay from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 25-Jan-2017
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with light green-gold hues, pale on the rim. The nose is softly packed and concentrated with aromas of lime fruit and yellow stonefruits melded with subtle nutty, waxy and lanolin elements, the aromatics building in volume with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has up-front flavours of lime fruit with yellow stonefruits, entwined with lanolin and nutty notes. The mouthfeel is fresh and lively with good rounded presence, underlined by the brisk acidity. The flavours recede as the wine flows, leading to a light, citrus-fruited finish. This is an up-front, fresh Chardonnay with lime, stonefruit, nutty and lanolin flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and poultry over the next 2-3 years. Chardonnay fruit fermented to 12.5% alc., the wine given oak contact. 16.5-/20 Jan 2017 RRP $19.99
