Harakeke Farm Nelson Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 23-Oct-2013
Moderately deep, ruby-pink colour with slight purple hues on rim. The nose is full with concentrated rich and ripe aromas of raspberries and cream, lifted with floral and confectionary elements all harmoniously melded, the nose underlined the a steely freshness. Dryish to taste and full-bodied, up-front raspberry fruit flavours and aromatic fruit bon-bon flavours show with richness and lusciousness. The mouthfeel has weight and substance and a creamy texture, the acidity adding a liveliness and slipperiness. The flavours flow smoothly, with some alcohol drive, and are carried to a warm, rounded finish. This is an up-front, full-bodied and substantial rosé with rich raspberry fruit flavours and smooth, slippery textures. Serve in al fresco dining with antipasto, firm-flesh seafood and poultry over the next 2-3 years. Hand-picked Pinot Noir fruit, clones 114, 115, 5 and Abel, WBP, given overnight skin contact and fermented with less than 5% saigneé juice to 14.5% alc. and dryness. 18.0-/20 Oct 2013 RRP $20.00
