Hans Herzog ‘Mistral’ Marlborough 2012

Blended White from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Oct-2015
Light golden-yellow with some depth. The bouquet is full, soft and harmoniously expressed with apricot and exotic florals showing seamless richness and simultaneously exhibiting lift and freshness. Dry and medium-full bodied, this has a firm and concentrated core of savoury apricots, yellow stonefruits, tropical fruits and florals. The palate is deeply packed with real presence. Soft, drying phenolics underline the fruit, with integrated acidity providing subtle drive and line. The wine carries to a firmly bound, long, lingering finish. This will keep another 4-5 years. 80% Viognier and 10% each Marsanne and Roussanne, indigenous yeast fermented in puncheons to 14.0% alc. and <1 g/L RS, the wine aged 18 months in oak. 18.0/20 Oct 2015 RRP $64.00
