Hans Herzog Marlborough Zweigelt 2013

Other Red from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Oct-2015
Dark, deep ruby-red colour with a deep heart and youthful purple hues. The nose is fresh and bright with up-front dark red cherry and berry fruit, the nose growing in intensity in the glass, unveiling subtle notes of dark herbs, minerals and raspberry liqueur. On palate very bright, primary and juicy. The wine is elegantly proportioned, with fine tannin extraction and a refined linearity. Slender in flow, the wine carries to a fresh, juicy finish. This is an attractively fruited wine that will keep 5-6+ years. Fruit indigenous yeast fermented to 13.5% alc, the wine pending 21 days on skins and aged 24 months in French oak barriques. 17.5+/20 Oct 2015 RRP $53.00
