Haha ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 2013

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 19-Jun-2014
Dark, deep ruby-red colour with a deep heart and lighter garnet hues on rim. The nose is fresh with ripe, primary dark raspberry, black cherry and plum aromas that gently blossom in volume, revealing floral fragrances and a concentrated base of raspberry liqueur. Medium-full bodied, vibrantly bright, rich, plump and sweet fruit flavours of dark raspberries and black plums show with depth and youthful liveliness. The fruit richness is enhanced by bright acidity, and supported by considerable extraction and tannin structure, providing a dry, grainy mouthfeel that leads to a firm, fresh finish with spiced raspberry nuances. This is a fulsome, lively, dark plum and raspberry fruited Pinot with plenty of extraction and structure. Serve with beef, lamb and venison dishes over the next 5-6 years. Specially selected, hand-picked fruit from the Awatere Valley, given a cold soak and fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 8 months in French oak. 18.0+/20 May 2014 RRP $24.99
