Haha Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 19-Feb-2013
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is soft, full and open with ripe, savoury yellow stonefruits, gooseberries and yellow capsicums, revealing gentle, pungent passionfruit notes and herbs at the core. Dry to taste, broad, subtly rich and ripe flavours of passionfruit and savoury tropical fruits flow smoothly and are mouthfilling. Soft in texture, the acidity is restrained, resulting in a very accessible and evenly presented palate. The flavours carry seamlessly to a fulsome, rounded finish with moderate length. This is a soft, up-front and very approachable passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc to serve with seafood, poultry and creamy pasta dishes over the next 2 years. 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Wairau Valley, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 2.3 g/L rs. 17.5-/20 Nov 2012 RRP $15.99
