Haha Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 18-Nov-2011
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues and a pale edge, the bouquet is tightly concentrated with dense passionfruit and gooseberry aromas, lifted with some fresh fermentation esters. Dry to taste, this has a full, weighty palate, the flavours of passionfruit somewhat restrained initially. Moderate acidity and soft textures contribute to good presence through the middle, and the fruitiness blossoms on a lively and sustained finish. Fruit from Wairau Valley vineyards fermented to 13.8% alc. and 2.78 g/L rs. A well-balanced and fulsome wine, the flavours will open out over the next 2+ years. Match with most seafood and poultry dishes. 17.0+/20 Oct 2011 RRP $15.99
