Haha Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 01-Aug-2017
Bright, pale candy-floss pink with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with delicate but positive core of aromas of fresh strawberries and subtle notes of red cherries and florals and hints of fresh fermentation esters and lifted confectionary nuances Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the plate has an elegant heart of fresh strawberry fruit with lifted florals and subtle notes of cherries, with suggestions of confectionary and esters. The mouthfeel is fresh with slippery acidity and the wine flows along a very fine-textured line, leading to a dry, fragrant, thirst-quenching finish. This is an elegant and delicate, thirst-quenching dry rosé with flavours of strawberries and florals on a slippery, mouthwatering palate. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. A blend of 73% Merlot and 27% Malbec from Hawke’s Bay, cool-fermented to 11.5% alc. and 3.0 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Aug 2017 RRP $15.99
