Haha Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 16-Feb-2018
Bright, light straw-yellow colour. The nose is fresh with full aromas of white stonefruit, acacia florals and nuances of honeysuckle with mineral suggestions. This has fragrance and intensity, unfolding nuances of lifted fermentation esters. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has elegantly concentrated and up-front white stonefruit, white floral and honied flavours. The fruit possesses richness and is enlivened by crisp acidity. This has good aromatic presence, and the wine flows with good vibrancy and energy along a fine-featured line, leading to a light, gently sweet finish. This is a moderately rich, up-front medium-dry Pinot Gris on a refreshing and lively palate. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian fare over the next 3 years. Fruit from the Hawke’s Bay high country, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and approx. 8.9 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Feb 2018 RRP $17.99
