Gunn Estate ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 19-Sep-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is full and voluminous with fresh aromas of passionfruit entwined with fresh herbs, snow peas and lifted white florals. The aromatics are quite mouthwatering. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is finely proportioned with gently sweet and luscious passionfruit flavours intermingling with snow peas, fresh herbs, gooseberries and nettle notes. The mouthfeel is soft with light, drying phenolic textures and balanced, thirst-quenching acidity. This has tension and linearity, and the wine leads to a soft, passionfruity finish with light, drying textures. This is a gently luscious, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with snow pea and nettle notes, and a soft, textural, dry palate with mouthwatering acidity. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 4.3 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $19.99
