Gunn Estate ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Aug-2013
Soft, even, very pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on edge. This has a very fine and tightly bound nose showing pungent passionfruit aromas intermingling with grassy notes and mineral elements. The aromatics open out in the glass. Dry to taste and restrained in flavour, this has a tight and softly concentrated core of passionfruit and mineral flavours. The acidity is discreet, and along with mellow textures, endows the palate with a dry, thirst-quenching mouthfeel. The wine has a gentle line, leading to a dry finish. This is a shy and restrained Sauvignon Blanc with gentle passionfruit and minerally flavours. Serve with salads and vegetables, and with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 2.82 g/L RS, with 8.1 g/L TA and 3.22 pH. 17.0+/20 Aug 2013 RRP $19.99
