Gunn Estate ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 2014

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Dec-2015
Dark ruby-red colour with some depth, lighter edged. The nose is fresh with light aromas of dark cherry fruit entwined with fresh herbs and some peppery elements, unveiling nuances of liquorice. Medium-bodied, light flavours of red cherries are entwined with herbs and enlivened by bright, crisp acidity. The tannin extraction is modest, lending a supple, easy mouthfeel, but with a positive, vinous line. The wine carries to an elegant, lingering finish of red berry and bitter cherry fruits. This is a light and lively Pinot Noir with cherry and herb flavours. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit given a cold soak and fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged in seasoned oak. 16.0/20 Dec 2015 RRP $19.99
