Gunn Estate ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Mar-2014
Bright, pale straw colour, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh, light and tightly bound with aromas of yellow stonefruits, pears and nuances of exotic florals and spices, and honeysuckle and mineral detail. Dry to taste, the palate has light, lifted white stonefruit and exotic rose-petal floral flavours. The fruit follows a fine, grainy textured line and is enlivened by balanced, lacy acidity. While up-front and clean, the flavours are uncomplicated and carry to a straightforward, clean, stonefruit nuanced finish. Light and aromatic, this dry Pinot Gris is clean and straightforward. Serve with poultry dishes over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the Southern Valleys fermented to 13.5% alc. and <1 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Mar 2014 RRP $19.99
