Guigal ‘Brune et Blonde’ Cote-Rotie 2007

Syrah from France - Rhone
Review Date : 14-Mar-2012
Dark, deep black red in colour, this has a restrained nose showing savoury dark red berry fruits, game and meat with a spicy, peppery, floral lift, the bouquet just beginning to enter secondary expression. Medium-full bodied, rich and spicy dark berry fruits and soft, fine tannins fill the mouth in an enveloping amalgam, yet there is a drive and line carrying through to a long finish. The acidity is soft and discreet. This has begun to integrate, and will continue to develop over the next 5-8 years.  18.5+/20  Mar 2012
