Dark, deepish ruby-red colour, lighter garnet on rim. This has a full bouquet of savoury red berry fruit intermixed with complexing whole bunch stalky and dried herbal lift, unfolding layers of oak spices and nuances funky game meat. Medium-full bodied the red-spectrum berry fruit is enlivened by bright, elevated acidity, the flavours unveiling oak spices and savoury herb and whole bunch complexities. The palate follows a fine-grained tannin line, the oaking a little firm, but carrying the wine to a long, lingering sweet-fruited finish, blossoming in savoury dried herbal nuances. This is -complex, lively and ha a firm line to see it age 7-9 years. From 0.14 ha. 18.0+/20 Aug 2014 RRP $199.00
