Gros Frere et Soeur Vosne-Romanee 1er ‘Les Chaumes’ 2008

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Jul-2011
This is soft garnet-red in colour with some orange hues, and has soft, full, forward aromas of strawberries and soft red berry fruits, dried herbs and a little bacon-like oak showing. Full, luscious and sweet fruited on palate, the flavours are in the cooler, red berry spectrum and dried herb interest is present. Balancing extraction provides the structure, but acidity carries the fruit to a moderately sustained finish. This should keep 5-7+ years.  Jul 2011
