Greystone Waipara Valley North Canterbury Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 24-Oct-2018
Bright, pale crimson-pink colour with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is intense with taut and tightly bound fruit aromas of bright and fragrant cherry fruit along with subtle notes of raspberries and thirst-quenching herb and mineral nuances. The aromatics show excellent penetration, clarity and depth. Dryish to taste, the palate is crisp and refreshing with good intensity of tightly bound flavours of perfumed cherry fruit with raspberries, red florals and subtle nuances of herbs and minerals. The mouthfeel is lively with zesty acidity, and the wine flows along a very fine-textured line. Mouthwatering floral ad mineral notes feature as the wine carries to a long, sustained, crisp finish. This is a bright and refreshing, aromatic dryish rosé with cherry, raspberry and floral fruit with mineral notes and a very fine-textured line. Serve as an aperitif, with canapés and Asian fare over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit, clones 5, 115, 667, 777 and Abel, hand-picked and hand-sorted, given 24 hours skin contact and direct to press and fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 7.4 g/L RS.
