Deep, ruby-red with some transparency, lighter on edge. The nose is gently full, aromas of red plums, black cherries, sweet perfume, dark herbs, earth and subtle oak spice element. Medium-full bodied, nuances of red plums, black cherries, persist with dried thyme, basil, floral, unfolding earth, liquorice and cinnamon bark. The flavours are in-depth with good concentration, interwoven with each other. The tannin is velvety, fine-grained extraction with a good grip, coated the palate with a good dusting and left a lingering dry finish. This is a medium-full bodied Pinot Noir with rich dark-toned flavours in harmony on a fine-grained tannin grip texture line. Match with lamb shanks and duck over the next 4-6 years. Handpicked, wild fermented to 13% alc, aged in French oak barrels for 10 months. No fining. Organic Certified. 18.5/20 pts Aug 2020 RRP $42
