Greyrock Hawke’s Bay Pinot Noir 2015

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 12-Jun-2016
Ruby-red colour with some depth at heart, and lighter garnet hues on the rim. This has a firmly packed nose with uncomplicated fruit aromas of red berries along with subtle, savoury dark herbal notes, unfolding fresh dark cherry fruit and dark plum jam and confectionary notes. Medium-bodied, the palate features soft, rounded and light flavours of red berry fruits and cherries smoothly melded with plum jam, boiled sweets and subtle herbal elements. The extraction is modest, providing soft, supple, easy tannins and integrated acidity lends a mellow and gentle flow. The ine carries to a soft, light finish of red berries and plums. This is a oft, easy-flowing uncomplicated Pinot Noir with red berry and cherry flavours and plum jam nuances. Match with pasta, pizza, risotto and poultry dishes over the next 2-3 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit, hand-picked, destemmed and fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged in oak. 16.0/20 Jun 2016 RRP $16.99
