Greylands Ridge ‘Belle’ Central Otago Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 31-Mar-2014
Bright, soft, pink-red colour with slight purple hues, youthful in appearance. The nose is fresh and tight, with intense aromas of strawberry fruit harmoniously interwoven with lifted florals, watermelon notes and confectionary nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, a bright core of strawberry fruit and lifted fruit pastilles shows with freshness and some lusciousness. This has a fine and smooth, delicate mouthfeel balanced by fresh, lacy acidity. The palate flows with brightness and energy leading to a clean, clear, lightly nuanced finish. This is a fresh and bright, dry rosé with delicate lusciousness of strawberry and confectionary flavours. Serve with antipasto and Mediterranean fare al fresco, over the next 2 years. Hand-picked clone 115 Pinot Noir from the ‘Greylands Ridge’ site, given 24 hours skin contact and fermented to 12.8% Alc. and 3 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Apr 2014 RRP $20.00
