Greenhough Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 22-Feb-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with light lemon-green hues, pale edged. The nose is upfront with voluminous aromas of fresh and bright passionfruit, lime and green capsicum aromas enlivened by mouthwatering mineral elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegant in proportion with a finely concentrated core of sweet passionfruit, lime and capsicum flavours with nettly detail. Fresh, lacy acidity balances the fruit richness and brightens the mouthfeel, driving the palate along a fine phenolic line. The flavours carry through to a refreshing finish with fruit succulence. This is an elegant, sweet, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with a refreshing mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood, and salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Morison’ and ‘Hope’ vineyards fermented with 4% by indigenous yeasts in barrel to 14.0% alc. Certified BioGro organic. 18.0/20 Feb 2016 RRP $22.00
