Greenhough Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 18-Jun-2012
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with green hues. Softly full and voluminous on the nose, ripe capsicum aromas show with liveliness, unfolding fresh herb and gooseberry notes. Dry to taste, this is elegant and still tightly bound. Subtle, luscious capsicum and gooseberry flavours with delicate green bean notes are enlivened by brisk, racy acidity. The fruit forms a fine textural core which leads to a crisp, firmly dry finish with moderate length. This is an elegant and racy Sauvignon with some detailed fruit interest. Match with seafood, vegetables and salads as well as goats cheese over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Greenhough' and ‘Morison' vineyards in Hope, fermented in tank, with 4% in new French oak by indigenous yeasts to 13.0% alc. and 3.4 g/L rs. 17.5-/20 Jun 2012 RRP $20.00
