Greenhough ‘Apple Valley’ Nelson Riesling 2012

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 10-Feb-2013
Very pale straw-green colour, this has a very fine, fresh nose, very clean and penetrating with clarity of honeysuckle and apple-like aromas. Medium in sweetness, the palate is racy and slippery with crisp and juicy, mouthwatering acidity. The sweetness is present, but the richness and breadth quite restrained. Purity, brightness, line and minerally hints are the feature. The mouthfeel is driven by the acidity to a racy, long and nuanced finish of limes and lemons. From vines planted in 2003, fermented to 9.0% alc. and 49.6 g/L rs. 18.5/20 fEB 2013
