Light salmon pink colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is well concentrated with a core of savoury, mouthwatering, strawberry and pomegranate fruit melded with layers of herbs and nuts, and a suggestion of smoke. Medium-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features soft flavours of strawberry and pomegranate fruit along with red florals interwoven with herbal and nutty, smoky notes and some savoury confectionary. The sweetness lends a degree of richness, and the mouthfeel is balanced by soft textures and light, mouthwatering acidity. The flavours carriy to an elegant, lingering, nuanced finish. This is a medium-dry rosé with soft, but mouthwatering flavours of strawberries, herbs, nuts and smoke with some floral and confectionary nuances. Serve as an aperitif, with tapas and antipasto over the next 2+ years. Made from Abel clone Pinot Noir, with about 15% Riesling blended in. WBP and fully barrel-fermented, the Pinot in 500 L puncheons and the Riesling in 225 L barrique, to 12.5% alc., and 11.0 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Jun 2016 RRP $29.90
