Grape Stomper North Canterbury Riesling 2009

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 06-Mar-2012
Brilliant pale straw-green colour, pale on rim. The nose is softly full with fresh, light aromas of limes and green apples, along with some toasty secondary interest. Medium-dry to taste, this is light-bodied with gentle and slightly diffuse flavours of lime and honeysuckle, complexed by subtle toast and mineral elements. Some phenolics result in some dryness and grip. The acidity is balanced and carries through to a soft, floral, toast and honied finish. Fruit from North Canterbury fermented to 12.5% alc. and 11 g/L rs. A light and gently flavoured Riesling with soft dry textures. and some interest development. Serve as an aperitif over the next 2-3 years. 16.0+/20 Mar 2012 RRP $23.95
