Gran Vega ‘Privado’ Campo de Borja Garnacha 2013

Grenache from Spain
Review Date : 23-Apr-2014
Full, black-hued ruby-red colour with youthful purple rim. The nose is full with softly voluminous aromas of bright, ripe raspberry fruit along with lifted floral, confectionary and jammy notes. Medium-full bodied, the palate features plenty of up-front, sweetly ripe raspberry jam and blackberry fruit flavours, along with some earthy and minerally interest. The mouthfeel is open, easy and accessible with soft acidity and light tannin extraction. The flavours are quite primary revealing dark earth and minerally nuances on a dry, soft-textured finish. This is a fresh, fruity and approachable Garancha with raspberry jam flavours and earthy nuances. Serve with pasta, pizza, and barbecued meat dishes over the next 3+ years. Garnacha made by Bodegas Borsao, fermented to 13.5% alc. 16.5/20 Apr 2014 RRP $15.00
