Graham’s 20 Y.O. Tawny Port

Fortified Port Style from Portugal
Review Date : 27-May-2013
Light tawny-mahogany colour with a pale rim. The bouquet is very fine and elegant in expression but builds with intensity, showing complex nutty aromas with wood and rancio complexities. Restrained crystalised and candied fruit notes underline the aromatics. Medium-sweet to taste, this combines sheer elegance with excellent intensity of flavour. A tight core of flavours of nuts, dried fruits preserved citrus are infused with savoury, nutty-wood rancio complexity. The mouthfeel is smooth and very fine textured, the alcohol in balance and integral. The acidity is a little low and the finish is dryish and very long. This is an extremely elegant and complex 20 Y.O. Tawny. Match with caramel-influenced and baked desserts, as well as hard cheeses. Aged for an average of 20 years in seasoned oak casks, 20.0% alc. 19.0/20 May 2013 RRP $129.95
